        Frequently asked questions

        Where are you located?

In Ybor City, Inside of the Luxury Beauty building. 1701 N 14th Street Tampa FL 33605

What makes The Body Lab different?

Every detail is intentional. From immersive design to advanced bodywork techniques, we treat wellness as a luxury experience and a ritual of self-restoration. Unlike traditional spas, our focus is on results that feel both transformative and timeless.

        Is parking available?

Parking in Ybor is abundant, with several options nearby. We recommend the 9924 street parking spots, which are consistently available at $1–$2 per hour. Payment is simple through the ParkMobile or Passport apps, or directly at the meter by plate.

Three surrounding surface lots are also available, though pricing varies and may rise to $20+ on busy weekends. Complimentary street spaces can occasionally be found a short walk away, and a parking garage is located just two blocks over for added convenience.

Do you accept walk-ins, or is everything by appointment?

Most of our experiences are reserved by appointment so we can prepare the space with intention. On occasion, we may be able to welcome a walk-in if the schedule allows—but consider it a touch of good fortune. To ensure your time is secured, we always recommend booking in advance.

How do I know which massage to book?

We have detailed explanations on each of our listed services under the 'services' tab. To keep it real simple:

        • Rehab & Recover for deep tissue
        • Restorative for relaxation
        • Drain and Sculpt for lymphatic drainage
        Do you accept HSA/FSA cards?

At this time, we do not accept insurance or HSA/FSA cards at this time. All services are self-pay, ensuring your experience remains seamless and uncomplicated.

Do you offer couples or group sessions?

Yes. We offer couples massage sessions designed for two, as well as shared experiences in our sauna and contrast therapy room, which can comfortably host up to four guests. Whether you’re arriving with a partner or a small group, the space is prepared for connection, restoration, and a touch of ceremony.

Is contrast therapy safe for everyone?

Contrast therapy is a powerful tool for circulation, inflammation, and recovery. While most guests can safely enjoy it, those who are pregnant, have certain heart conditions, or other medical concerns should consult a physician before booking. Our team is available to help guide you toward the experience best suited to your needs.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just yourself. We provide robes, towels, and water to keep you refreshed throughout your visit. If you prefer, bring a swimsuit or comfortable change of clothes for contrast therapy, and a refillable water bottle if you’d like.

        What is the age requirement?

Guests must be 18 years or older to book massage or contrast therapy on their own. Minors are welcome to receive select services with parental consent, and may enjoy contrast therapy with parental supervision. Please contact us directly so we can guide you through the best options.

Can I combine services in one visit?

Yes. Many guests choose to pair massage with contrast therapy, or add enhancements such as red light or cupping. Combining modalities deepens the benefits and creates a more complete ritual. Simply let us know your preferences when booking, and we’ll tailor the flow for you.

Do you offer memberships or packages?

Yes. We offer thoughtfully designed memberships and multi-session packages for guests who want to make wellness a regular ritual. These provide preferred pricing and ensure consistent access to your chosen services. Explore our Memberships page or inquire with our team for details.

        How early should I arrive?

We begin all sessions right on time, so arriving about five minutes prior is perfect—just enough to settle into the lounge before your appointment. To keep your visit seamless, please complete your intake form and liability waiver ahead of time; these arrive in your booking confirmation email. If you have any difficulty locating or completing your form, let us know and plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can assist you before your session begins.

        What is your cancellation policy?

Your time with us is thoughtfully reserved. If your plans shift, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to adjust or cancel your appointment. Changes made with less notice—or missed sessions—may incur a fee equal to the service booked. This ensures our practitioners’ time is honored and allows us to welcome another guest in your place.

How often should I book contrast therapy or massage?

Consistency is where the benefits compound. For massage, research shows that a weekly or biweekly cadence can help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support long-term mobility. Those focused on recovery, post-op care, or targeted goals may benefit from a more regular rhythm until balance is restored.

For contrast therapy, studies highlight improvements in circulation, inflammation, mood, and sleep when practiced 2–3 times per week. Even a single session, however, can reset your system—leaving you clearer, lighter, and more resilient.

As with any wellness practice, frequency depends on your body, your goals, and your lifestyle. Our team can help you design a ritual that feels both effective and sustainable.

What should I wear for contrast therapy?

For your comfort and privacy, you may choose to remain nude in our private room, or, if preferred, you may opt for swimwear. Please refrain from wearing cotton or other materials, as they may clog our drains and filters.

        Do you have showers?

There is a public shower at Hotel Haya right across the street from us, straight through the pool yard. We do NOT have showers. Please bring a change of clothes and anything else you may need for a comfortable time in our space.

Can I take photos or videos during my visit?

Yes. You’re welcome to capture your experience and share the moment. We simply ask that photography and filming remain respectful of the space and of other guests’ privacy.
